BASF Canada provides 65 thousand dollars in community grants

BASF Canada has announced 9 community donations totaling 65 thousand dollars.

The grand prize of 25 thousand dollars goes to an organization in the Peace Country region of Alberta, the gleaners.

The group processes locally grown vegetables which are then dehydrated to be distributed to those in need around the globe.

Eight other community organizations receive 5 thousand dollars each.

In Saskatchewan, those receiving 5 thousand dollars include the Lions club in Sovereign, the ABC Daycare in Theodore, the Gap Swimming committee near Ceylon and the Hafford Communiplex.

BASF has over 625 employees with farm chemical production facilities in Regina, Saskatoon and Lethbridge, Alberta.
