Regina Crime Stoppers happy with community support for 50-50 lottery

It is not known what the final total will be, but as the last day for sales for the Regina Crime Stoppers 50-50 lottery begins,  the president of the organization is thankful that the community has shown its support.

Craig Perrault says crime didn’t stop for COVID-19 and either did the many tips received, but without government funding money was still tight from sponsors and the ability to fundraise in a more comfortable fashion.

He says for the community to step up and show its support for the program by buying tickets has been a great thing to see.

Perrault says the jackpot is close to $13,000 meaning someone will take home at least $6,500 when the draw is made Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m.  He is hoping a last-minute rush of sales on the final day will bring that total to $15,000.
