Regina man charged in string of robberies

A Regina man is facing charges in connection to a string of robberies in the city.

The robberies were all at small businesses within a month of each other.

They occurred on August 22nd, on the 200 block of North Winnipeg Street, later the same day on the 200 block of East Broadway, on September 14th on the 100 block of North Albert Street, and on September 15th on the 900 block of Winnipeg Street.

In each of the incidents, the man entered the business and demanded cash from the employees on duty. In two of the robberies, he showed a knife. On two other occasions, the man showed a firearm.

As a result of investigation, 26-year-old Timothy Jones has been charged with 4 counts of robbery, 4 counts of disguise with intent, and 2 counts of use of imitation firearm in the commission of an indicatable offence and carrying a concealed weapon.

Jones made his first court appearance on Friday.
