RCMP investigate major cattle theft in southeast Sask

RCMP in southeast Saskatchewan are investigating a major cattle theft.

The mounties say between October and November of 2020, a local farmer had 35 cows and 28 calves on sections of land between Moosomin and Fairlight go missing.

All the cows had a brand of bar over TE.

Police say the theft included 35 cows consisted of 22 black and white 13 red cows.

Livestock Services are assisting with the investigation and will know if any of these animals went through the auction marts.

The calves were not branded but steers had green ear tags and heifers have yellow ear tags.

Police are asking the public to provide any information on this theft or call Crime Stoppers.
