New cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan continue to be well under 100

It has been almost two weeks since there were over 100 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan.

On Thursday, the province announced 62 new cases which combined with 49 new recoveries puts the active count case at 622.  The new recoveries also puts Saskatchewan over the 80,000 mark when it comes to total recoveries.  Of the 622 active cases, 91 are in the Regina region.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (1), North West (3), North Central (7), Saskatoon (14), Central West (2), Central East (7), Regina (12), South West (1), South Central (4), and South East (10) zones and one (1) new case have pending residence information.

Hospitalizations are down by six with 118 now requiring care including 30 in the ICU.

The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers sits at  60 (5.0 new cases per 100,000).

There were 2,350 vaccines put into the arms of Saskatchewan people Wednesday with 1,520 of those being first doses as many kids between the ages of 5-11 continue getting their first shots.
