The Canadian Red Cross needs volunteers in Saskatchewan.

The Red Cross is currently recruiting for Emergency Management and Personal Disaster Assistance teams.

Spokesperson Georgiana Schuring says volunteers are important to everything they do.

“They help people who are in the most vulnerable situations during disasters, whether it’s a large scale disaster or a small disaster like a house fire,” said Schuring. “Without their work and that  ongoing loyalty to the Red Cross, we’re not able to do this work.”
