COVID-19 hospitalizations continue increasing in Saskatchewan

There are now 289 people in hospital being treated for COVID-19 as hospitalizations keep increasing putting more pressure on healthcare workers across the province.  Of those 289, which is an increase of eight does break the record set yesterday, 63 are in the ICU which is also a new record-high.

When it comes to new cases, the province is reporting 398 new cases and two new deaths.  The new cases are located in the Far North West (19), Far North East (14), North West (32), North Central (43), North East (16), Saskatoon (147), Central West (17), Central East (18), Regina (32), South West (23), South Central (7) and South East (13) zones and seventeen (17) new cases have pending residence information.  The two deaths bring the provincial total to 672.   The active case count now sits at 4,788.

87 of the new cases are in kids under the age of 12 who cannot be vaccinated.  333 of the cases are in people who have not been vaccinated.

2,510 vaccines were delivered Sunday with 1,436 of them being first doses.
