Sask. Conservative MPs disappointed with Liberal government blocking amendments to Sask. Act

The Saskatchewan Conservative MPs have released a statement with their disappointment with the Liberal government blocking the amendments to section 24 of the Saskatchewan Act Wednesday.

In a statement Regina-Lewvan MP Warren Steinley along with Saskatoon-Grasswood MP Kevin Waugh said the Liberals shamefully blocked Saskatchewan’s attempt for tax fairness.

The Conservative MPs added that the rejection of the request by the provincial government show the Federal Government do not respect Saskatchewan’s right to amend it’s own constitution and the Conservative MPs feel the double standard treats Saskatchewan unfairly.

The Liberals made it clear that they are not on the side of our provinces according to Saskatchewan Conservative MPs and do not respect tax fairness that ensures major profitable companies pay their fair share.
