Onion Lake RCMP make arrest in lengthy murder case

Onion Lake RCMP, along with help from detachments in Saskatoon, Prince albert and North Battleford, were able to bring an end to an investigation into the homicide of Braden Richard Bull that lasts over eight months.

Bull’s body was found just off of Highway #797 on the Onion Lake Cree Nation on January 21st. He was first reported missing on January 7th from the Little Pine First Nation.

After several interviews, tips, and other investigation techniques, RCMP have arrested 24 year-old Vega Bear of Onion Lake, and charged him with second degree murder.

Bear appeared in court Tuesday. The investigation is continuing.

The Onion Lake Cree Nation is about 280 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
