Regina Police is reporting that the death investigation following the discovery of a deceased person in house fire yesterday, December 16 carried out by the Regina Police Service and Coroner’s Service is now a homicide investigation.

Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Cameron Street to a report house fire on Thursday.  After extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered a deceased person and the investigation shifted to a death investigation by the police and the coroner. Investigation into the matter has determined the death to be the result of homicide. The victim, an adult male, has been identified, and next of kin have been notified. The victim’s identity will not be released at this time.
