Pats end first-half with 5-3 loss to Warriors

The Regina was unable to overcome a four-goal deficit, as they lost to the Moose Jaw Warriors 5-3 last night.

Regina started off strong but did find themselves down 1-0 after the first period. The second period would see the Pats allow three consecutive goals.

Logan Nijhoff (11) would score to stop the bleeding, with Tanner Howe (12) adding another goal at the start of the third to cut the lead to two. That would be as close as Regina would get, despite putting up 19 shots in the third period, as the teams would trade goals with Parker Berge (1) scoring for the Pats.

The loss ends a disappointing first half for the Pats, who end the first half with a 12-16-0 record and sit 11th in the Eastern Conference.

Regina will now begin a nine-day holiday break, before kicking off the second half of the season on December 27 when they host the Edmonton Oil Kings.
