Sask. Wheat chair encouraged by record Canadian agri-food exports

The chair of the Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission is encouraged by record Canadian agri-food exports this year.

Canadian agri-food exports reached $61-billion in the first ten months of the year, and are on track to surpass last years record $67-billion figure.

SaskWheat Chair Brett Halstead of Nokomis says there has been good international demand for Canadian grain.

He says rail demand has been reduced for some goods, helping grain shipments to increase.

Halstead is encouraged by the brisk movement of Canadian grain.
