Riders extend homegrown offensive linemen

The Saskatchewan Roughriders solidified the interior of their offensive line with a pair of signings yesterday.

The Riders locked up Logan Ferland and Evan Johnson to contract extensions.

Johnson, the Regina native joined the Riders last year after spending three seasons with Ottawa. Johnson played in all 14 games last season along with both playoff games starting at Right Guard. Johnson played his collegiate football at the University of Saskatchewan.

Ferland, from Melfort started in 13 games at Left Guard and 1 game at Center during the regular season along with starting in both playoff games. The former Prairie Thunder led the Riders in snaps last season.
