Police searching for suspects in two firearms-related cases from Tuesday morning

Regina Police is requesting information on two separate incidents that took place early Tuesday morning.

Just after midnight, police were called to the 1100 block of Athol Street for a report of an injured man. The person who called in the complaint said it sounded as though a gunshot had went off.

Police located the victim, a 28 year-old man, who suffered an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital by EMS, where he remains in an unknown condition.

No description is available for a possible suspect in this case. It remains under investigation.

Meanwhile, police were also called to the 1000 block of Pasqua Street at about 2:15 AM, where a man allegedly entered a business and pointed a gun at staff and demanded money.

The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot. He was last scene running eastbound on 4th Avenue. K9 units attempted to search for the suspect but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as about 5’7″ tall with a medium build, dressed in all grey, including a grey hat.
