Carlton Cards is shutting down operation meaning 76 locations in Canada including one in Regina’s Southland Mall will soon be no more.

The closures are happening right away with all expected to close their door for the last time in the next four to six weeks.

The company says it is unable to “realign stores to fit today’s shopping environment.”

This will leave Hallmark as the sole remaining dominant player in the Canadian greeting card retail market.
