Saskatchewan Party candidate in Saskatoon Eastview resigns

The Saskatchewan Party needs to find a new candidate in the riding of Saskatoon Eastview.

On Saturday afternoon, the Saskatchewan Party announced Daryl Cooper was resigning after some questionable social media posts on his Facebook account and his views on privatization as he suggested in a letter to the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix in 2017 that SaskTel should be sold off.

The riding does not have an incumbent MLA as Corey Tochor resigned the seat in 2018 to pursue a career in federal politics.

The Saskatchewan Party says it will be selecting a new candidate for the riding shortly.
