Saskatchewan will “ring those phones” in February; Telemiracle auditions to happen later this month

The show is too important not to go on.

That is what organizers behind Telemiracle 45 are saying as they start looking for Saskatchewan entertainers to take part in the annual 20-hour telethon.

Chair Grant Angstadt says anyone wanting to audition should go to their website to choose an audition time with the deadline for in-person auditions being this Saturday in Regina and October 17th in Saskatoon with video submissions also being accepted until the 24th.

Angstadt says it is the Saskatchewan talent that is one of the big reasons why Telemiracle is the success it is.

“The talent is amazing.” Angstadt said. “Whether they be from the cities or small towns, the performers that do their thing each year shows how diverse and talented Saskatchewan people are.”

As mentioned, organizers know how important Telemiracle is and they have decided to put a different look on the event.

“The need is still there regardless of what it looks like. It will have a virtual aspect to it and a live aspect to it.” Angstadt said.  “It will look different, but it will be taking place on February 27 and 28.”

5,5 million was raised last year bringing the total to more than 140 million dollars.

Money raised helps the Kinsmen Foundation provide specialized mobility equipment and access to medical travel assistance to Saskatchewan residents in need.
