Elderly man suffers minor injuries after single-vehicle accident in Regina’s east end

Regina Police responded to a single vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in the city’s east end.

Just after 2:00 PM, police were called to the intersection of Arens Road and Woodland Grove Drive. A driver was crossing through a field and then went through Woodland Grove Drive, eventually hitting a large brick sign.

The vehicle lit on fire a short time later. An elderly man was pulled from the vehicle by two witnesses.

The man was taken to hospital with what appear to be minor injuries. Early indicators have pointed towards the man suffering a medical emergency prior to the crash.

The incident is still under investigation.
