Four men charged in string of delivery driver robberies

Four people were charged after three robberies of delivery drivers late last year.

Police said that the first robbery happened after 10 p.m. on October 24 on the 100 block of Froom Cresent. The victim delivered an alcohol order when three suspects ran up to him grabbed him and the alcohol before fleeing on foot.

The next day, a second robbery was reported in the same area. A delivery driver was robbed while making an alcohol delivery, and the driver was threatened with a “bladed weapon” before the suspects took the alcohol.

On December 21, police were called to a third robbery on the 2400 block of Harvey Street.

Police learned that the victim was delivering a pizza when three suspects approached him. One suspect allegedly bear-sprayed the victim before taking the pizza and fleeing. A second suspect reportedly left in a vehicle, and the third suspect attempted to flee in the victim’s car, but the victim had retreated inside and locked the doors. He ran after realizing he couldn’t get inside; the third suspect also fled.

An initial investigation resulted in one of the suspects’ arrests, with the further investigation leading to the two other arrests.

All four made their first court appearances on various charges including robbery in Regina Provincial Court over the past month.
