There is a sense of frustration from the head of the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation.
President Patrick Maze says four days of conciliation talks between themselves and the government have failed
Besides salaries, classroom size and composition are the main issues.
President Patrick Maze sent out a statement Friday afternoon saying the government seems to have no interest in addressing the issues we are seeing in the classroom and that the government doesn’t really seem interested at this time in working with teachers to fix the problems that classrooms have in the province.

Maze says the federation will sit down to determine what its next steps are.
Education Minister Gordon Wyant has previously said classroom size and composition are not a part of talks aimed at getting a new contract and that a committee has been set up to examine those issues. The STF was offered a spot on that committee, but they declined.
