Blades forward Sidorov carries Saskatoon over Pats

The Regina Pats could not stop Saskatoon’s Belarusian forward Egor Sidorov last night in a 6-2 loss to the Blades.

Sidorov netted a hat-trick to carry the Blades to victory. Also scoring for the Blades were Tristen Robins, Aidan De La Gorgendiere and Kyle Crnkovic, who put the game to bed with an empty-netter in the final play.

Connor Bedard scored his 29th goal in a losing cause while also picking up an assist on Tanner Howe’s 17th goal of the season.

Regina now sees their record drop to 17-23-1-1. The Pats have won two games in their last ten but only sit three points out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Pats will be off until Friday when they travel to Prince Albert to face the Raiders.
