A Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW), also known as a Taser, was deployed last night by Moose Jaw police.

Police attended a residence at 6:50 p.m. for a disturbance, and once on the scene, they noticed an individual with a knife.

The person ignored commands and approached a police officer with that knife.

Police then deployed the CEW and gained control of the situation.

The individual had no serious injuries but was taken to hospital for medical attention.

Police are still investigating.
