Blowing snow could still be an issue on Saskatchewan roads on Tuesday, but the winds are not expected to be as heavy as originally expected.

Shannon Moodie from Environment Canada says that winds are expected to shift at some point on Tuesday afternoon from the southeast to the northeast, gusting between 30 km/h- 50 km/h.

During the overnight, the Regina area like much of the province did not see any snow activity, but snowfall did begin early Tuesday morning.

With the snow along with the winds, Moodie says that there maybe some blowing snow throughout Tuesday, but the wind speed is lower than what they were expecting on Monday.

About to 2 cm of snow is expected to fall in the Regina area on Tuesday, Moodie added that eastern Saskatchewan along the Manitoba border may see more snow activity, possibly 5 cm of snow.

Colder temperatures are expected to roll in on Wednesday as the high is expected to be around -18 and a low of -29 in Regina.
