620 CKRM Harvest Country Cookout #8

The autumnal equinox—the September equinox or the fall equinox—arrives on Saturday, September 23. Not only do temperatures drop, but plant life slows down and so do we. In fact, we wrapped up our harvest cookouts last night in grand style. A picture perfect evening, that culminated with great food, beverages and entertainment. Glen Yakimoski, of Ituna, was the final harvest cookout winner, which was fitting because Glen has been trying to win for a couple of decades! It was great to meet his family, friends and neighbors as we celebrated, to this point, another successful harvest.

2023 was a memorable year for our cookouts and all those that were involved. None of this is possible without the passion and commitment by our sponsors and clients. We would just like to take the time to thank them all and let them know how much we appreciate them and their involvement. I’ve always said that you are only as good as those that you surround yourself with. We make sure we associate with the best!

To all the artists who came out to perform this year…. Thank you for your talents and making them memorable with your music. I can always associate a Country Cookout with the music during that time. Last night we had Samara Yung accompanied by her father, Murray Yung. Good times.

Here are some of my images from the cookout last night in Ituna with Glen Yakimoski and his family, friends and neighbors

Of course I can never just take a few photo’s…. I love my pictures and I had a chance to tour the Ituna community and surrounding area’s. Here are some images on my way to and around Ituna, SK.

I even took the time to visit the small village of Hubbard, SK which is located 10 km southeast of Ituna along Hwy 15. The village had its beginnings in the early 1900s with the arrival of Ukrainian and Polish settlers and the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway.
