Former Regina Pats captain Connor Bedard will get his first taste of the big leagues tonight.
The Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues will meet in preseason action with the first overall selection of the 2023 NHL Draft set to make his Blackhawks debut.
Bedard spent three seasons with the Pats, where he collected 271 points (134 G & 137 A) and was helped Canada win a pair of Gold Medals at the World Junior U-20 championships (2022,23).
Chicago will open the regular season on October 10, when they visit Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins
The first games for Bedard and the Blackhawks in Canada will be on Oct.14 in Montreal and Oct.16 in Toronto.
On October 21, the Blackhawks fans will get their first chance to see Bedard in regular season action when the Las Vegas Golden Knights visit the Windy City.
