Last week I got a letter in the mail from the company that manufactured my vehicle. It wasn’t actually a recall, but I was advised to book my vehicle in at a local dealership to get a software update. Although my warranty had expired, the manufacturer would pick up the cost of this and give me a lifetime warranty on the software. No use taking any chances, so I booked an appointment for Thursday morning after work. I was told it should only take about half an hour, which probably means more like an hour and a half.
This isn’t the first time I’ve received letters like this from my vehicle maker. Last year I had two recall notices. I forget what they were for, but I remember booking an appointment for those right away. When you’re shutting around important cargo like a couple of granddaughters, you want to make sure everything is working to the best of it’s ability.
This vehicle has given me no problems at all in the years I’ve owned it. The majority of the money I’ve spent on it has been for gas and parking tickets!
