Roughriders add DB Fields II

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed defensive back Mark Fields II.

Fields II (5’10-181) initially signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Minnesota Vikings and saw action in one regular season.

The defensive back split the 2020 season with the Vikings and Houston Texans, making appearances in four games.

In 2021, Fields II spent time with the San Francisco 49ers.

Collegiately, the Cornelius, North Carolina product spent four seasons with Clemson. The former Tiger recorded 45 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, 12 pass deflections, one interception which he returned for a touchdown. He helped Clemson capture the College Football Playoff National Championship in both the 2016 and 2018 seasons.
