City Council holds first meeting of 2020 Wednesday

Regina City Council will return to Henry Baker Hall for their first monthly meeting of 2020 Wednesday afternoon.

One of the agenda topics will once again be body rub parlours. City administration has come forward with two recommendations for council on how to zone the establishments. Barring any amendments, council will either allow body rub parlours to open no less than 366 metres away from schools, parks, and daycares, or stick with the original 183 metres decided back in December.

Both decisions include adding in residences places of worship and recreation facilities.

Also up for debate is the Railyard renewal project and extending the U-Pass for University transit users for the next three years.

The meeting gets underway at 1:30pm.
