Excitement is soaring as the search for the city’s official bird has been narrowed down.

The Bird Friendly City Committee narrowed the contenders to the final six, each vying for the prestigious title.

The finalists are:

• American Pelican
• Black-capped Chickadee
• Canada Goose
• Grey Partridge
• Peregrine Falcon
• Red-breasted Nuthatch

Voting for the official winner will occur between November 30 and December 10, with residents will be able to vote for the city’s feather ambassador at Regina.ca/bird.
