SARM pushes for more rural Crime Watch Associations

The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities is encouraging RM’s to set up more crime watch initiatives.

SARM president Ray Orb says there are 22 rural crime watch areas in the 296 RM’s.

He adds rural crime is a serious concern and wants more volunteers for crime watch areas.

Orb says rural crime watch associations work closely with the RCMP to reduce criminal activity.
