Two deaths, 147 new cases of COVID-19 in SK

The province is telling us about 147 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday along with two new deaths.

The deaths were both people over the age of 80 from the northwest zone.

With 310 recoveries, the active case count is now at 2,369.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (14), Far North East (4), North West (24), North Central (3), North East (21), Saskatoon (13), Central West (6), Central East (7), Regina (33), South West (1), South Central (11) and South East (8) zones, with two (2) cases pending residence information.

Ten cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Far North West (2), Far North East (1), North West (6) and Saskatoon (1) zones.

202 people are in hospital with 172 getting inpatient care and 30 in intensive care.

The seven-day daily average is now at 228 or 18.6 cases per 100,000 population,

Only 88 vaccines were administered in Saskatchewan on Sunday bringing the total number of those who have been vaccinated with their first shot to 35,447.
