City Manager named new REAL Board Chair

City Manager Niki Anderson is the new Regina Exhibition Association Limited board chair.

That is according to a brief statement provided by the City of Regina.

Anderson replaces former chair Wayne Morsky, who resigned along with the rest of the board after city council voted to terminate the board.

Jennifer Johnson, executive director of corporate services for the city, has also been named vice-chair.

Following the council’s vote to remove the previous board, city council held a special meeting where six members of city administration were appointed to REAL’s board of directors, including Anderson and Johnson.

Executive Director of Financial Strategy and Sustainability Barry Lacey, City Manager Chief of Staff Ly Pham, Manager of Sport and Recreation Jeff May, and Manager of Client Services and Labour Relations Maria Burns were also appointed and expected to hold their board positions until July 31, 2024, or another successor is appointed.
