Frightening moments for Regina senior

It’s certainly not the way you want to be woken up.

Regina Police say just before 3 AM Monday morning, they were sent to a home on the 1400 block of Wascana Street, just a couple of blocks north of the Pasqua Hospital, after receiving a report of a robbery in progress.

The caller, a 67 year old woman, said she was asleep when she heard noises coming from her back door. She confronted a man who had broken into the home. The woman was punched and pushed down the stairs. When she got back upstairs, she found a man leaving in a vehicle after taking a large TV.

The assailant is described as being white and in his 20’s. He was about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was clean-shaven and was wearing a black jacket and jeans that were either blue or black.

The woman was taken to hospital to get checked over, but she was not seriously hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Regina Police.
