Man charged of abducting daughter makes first court appearance

The man charged with an alleged abduction of his daughter over an alleged dispute on her vaccination status made his first appearance in court on Tuesday.

Michael Gordon Jackson appeared in Provincial Court in Regina on Tuesday.

On January 21, Jackson was charged by RCMP with abduction in contravention of a custody or parenting order.

In court yesterday, Jackson appeared with no legal representation and is seeking legal aid.

He has been remanded into custody and will make his next court appearance on Thursday afternoon at 2:00.
