On Thursday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders signed linebacker Justin Herdman-Reed to a new contract.

Herdman-Reed has spent the last three seasons in Saskatchewan. He was a contributor on special teams where he made 10 tackles in 2022.

He was originally selected Toronto Argonauts in the seventh round of the 2017 CFL Draft. He signed a contract with Hamilton in 2020, but did not suit up with the Tiger-Cats due to the season being cancelled.

The Winnipeg native played collegiately at Simon Fraser and appeared in 40 games.
