A decrease in COVID-19 and RSV cases has been noted in the province’s latest Community Respiratory Illness Surveillance Program, or CRISP, report.
There were 482 lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 between January 29th and February 11th.
Hospitalizations fell to 138 admissions in that time frame, with the ICU count steady at four per week.
There were 18 deaths reported, all in the 60 and older age group.

Influenza cases have also plummeted, from 32 in the first week of January to five in the most recent week. These cases occurred mainly among school-aged children 5-19 years in the past week.

No deaths were reported for influenza in the last six weeks.
There were 253 cases of RSV reported in the two week period, compared to 321 in the previous two weeks.

“Regina’s wastewater COVID-19 viral load remained the same at moderate-high; however, the trajectory is decreasing based on the weekly trend,” the report said. “This same decrease occurred in all areas of the province except for the North West, Central East and South Central.”
