Saskatchewan Health Authority adding 100 beds in Regina-area long-term care homes

The Saskatchewan Health Authority are helping make 100 long-term care beds available in two Regina-area care homes.

Emmanuel Villa Personal Care Home in Emerald Park and Brightwater Senior Living in Regina will be receiving the beds for the next two years, with the potential for extension.

The beds will be offered to residents of Regina’s Pioneer Village as well as those who are approved for a long-term care bed in the Regina area.

In a news release, SHA spokesperson Lorri Carlson says the primary concern is addressing the long-term care capacity issue in Regina while maintaining a high level of care for residents.
