Assistant Coach Brad Herauf said that Howe’s goal was spectacular.

“Those are the goals we are able to score, not many teams, not many players can score those goals. ”

Whitehead’s goal was the result of Pats second power-play unit hard work said Herauf.

“That second unit they’ve been practicing really well for the last couple of weeks and they’ve been doing that in practice quite a bit, then they get the opportunity to do that and it’s great to get that unit going. ”

Herauf added that Sim’s effort is further evidence that he is continuing to mature into a number one goalie.

“He’s got the talent, he’s got the ability just him learning to be a number one goalie, him managing his body to take a workload of a number one goalie. ”

Sim says he was happy to bounce back on Monday afternoon.

“I felt I haven’t been good enough probably the last six or seven starts and I’ve been ended up getting wins because  of a lot of run support and I’m grateful for that but something like that feels really good.”
