Country Thunder Saskatchewan wrapped up Sunday night with headliner Chris Stapleton going as scheduled on the main stage.
However, that wasn’t the case on Saturday night with Tim McGraw, as his show was cancelled after equipment and instruments were damaged in a major storm that swept through the area. The beer gardens were also closed Sunday night due to weather.

Country Thunder spokesperson Gerry Krochak said the resiliency and patience of Craven fans is something he always raves about.
“The way these people took care of each other sharing their campers, sharing their vehicles, taking care of one another while taking shelter on Main Street,” Krochak said. “That’s what makes Saskatchewan what it is, and that’s why we’re always proud to call this our home.”
Krochak said they are always looking to improve their safety protocol, especially after Saturday night’s storm.
“Looks like the opinion of most is ‘job well done,’ but you’re always looking to improve and situations like this make you look at things that we will be improving in the future,” Krochak said. “Overall, definitely everybody did a great job.”
So far, no headline acts have been announced for next year’s Country Thunder. That announcement is expected to take place in the fall.
