A 32 year old Regina man is facing attempted murder charges.

Regina Police say early Wednesday morning officers were called to a home on the 1200 block of Athol Street for a weapons offence.

Allegedly a man assaulted someone with a weapon causing serious injury, lunged at another person with the weapon without causing an injuries and fled the scene on foot.

A 24 year old girl with injuries was taken to hospital.

Police found the suspect on the 1400 block of Wascana Street and ended up using a taser in order to safely take him into custody.

Isadore Favel is facing three charges including attempted murder, assault with a weapon and fail to comply with probation order.

He will appear in court on Thursday.
