Judge ruling requires removal of Unifor barricades surrounding Carseland facility

A Calgary judge says barricades set up at a Co-op fuel terminal in Carseland, Alberta must come down.

The judge says the barricades, which were put up by Unifor members, since January 24 are unlawful and that they must come down.

Union members or supporters are also not allowed from preventing individuals from entering or exiting the property.

The judge adds picketers can give their message to those who choose to stop and listen, but they can’t force discussion on those who don’t wish to engage in conversation.
