The RCMP have been investigating a case of stolen sports memorabilia since April of last year.

Now, police have announced an arrest, and the recovery of most of the stolen items.

This all started in April of 2022 when Shellbrook RCMP were told about a theft of some 100-thousand dollars worth of sports memorabilia, from a home in that community.

As the investigation unfolded, police were led to a home in Shellbrook where most of the stolen memorabilia was found.

41-year-old Derek Herzog has been charged with Possession of stolen property.  His first appearance in court is scheduled for April 4th in Shellbrook.
