Cold snap not going away for a few days

After a mild January. Mother Nature is giving it to us in February as we are living in a deepfreeze

An extreme cold warning remains in effect for the entire province with windchills in the minus 50 expected again Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Terri Lang with Environment Canada says the forecast won’t really be changing for a while.

“It does look as if it will continue for a few days.” Lang said. “We may see another deepening of the cold on the weekend before it warms up.”

Lang adds after the mild January we had, these conditions do seem like a shock to the system but in reality it is Saskatchewan in February as conditions like this aren’t something out of the ordinary.

The average high for this time of year is minus 8.
