March predicting to be colder than normal

One month closer to spring but it’s still expected to be cold. Colder than normal in fact.

Don’t let the warm start to March fool you. Environment and Climate Change Canada says the temperatures are expected to sit below average.

“The outlook for March is a little bit on the colder side so we’ll have to see if that pans out. Right now, forecasts are looking like it’s going to trend to a little bit colder-than-normal March for pretty much all of southern Saskatchewan,” says Dan Fulton, Meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada.

The first weekend of March will have temperatures of -2 on Thursday, zero degrees on Friday, -3 on Saturday, and then Sunday it’ll dip down to -8.

Temperatures next week are looking to sit steadily around -10.
