Conditions today are favorable for the development of funnel clouds.

These clouds are formed by weak rotation under growing clouds or weak thunderstorms. While usually not dangerous near the ground, they can intensify into weak landspout tornadoes.

Landspout tornadoes can topple trees, damage roofs, and toss debris. Treat any funnel cloud sighting seriously and be prepared to take shelter.

The advisory was issued at 9:59 a.m. and extends through much of central and east-central Saskatchewan.
