Using Sask town names as baby names

New parents nowadays LOVE coming up with creative, modern names for their newborns to be unique and to give their child an identity in this big ole wide world. According to eHealth Saskatchewan, the top three names for boys over the past year are Oliver, Noah, and Liam. For girls, the top three are Olivia, Emma, and Sophia. These are all great names, but how about using Saskatchewan towns as first and/or middle names to be unique?

We have a ton of unique place names in this province like Love, Marengo, Climax, Adanac, Titanic, Romance, Whitewood, Broadview, and many others. There are also hamlets, villages, towns, and cities that would make great first names and middle names. Here are a few that come to mind:

Vonda Viceroy

Kennedy Kendal

Melville Mozart

Allan Francis

Herbert Harris

Herbert Morse

Ebenezer Otthon

LeRoy Kyle

Earl Grey Gray

Raymore Simpson

Liberty Lang

I’m sure there are several more names you could come up with using Saskatchewan place names both past and present. Congratulations to all the new and expecting parents throughout the province. I don’t envy the process of trying to come up with a first and middle name, but hopefully this idea has inspired you and your spouse to find a special, unique name!
