Regina woman charged in connection to city’s first murder of 2020

Police have charged a Regina woman in connection to the city’s first homicide of 2020.

Keesha Bitternose was found dead on the night of January 5th on the 1500 block of Cameron street. A Coroner later deemed the death a homicide.

The Major Crimes Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service investigated the incident, which has led to the arrest of 26 year-old Kelly Stonechild, who has since been charged with first degree murder.

Stonechild made her first court appearance Wednesday morning. Police say this incident is still under investigation.
