The Saskatchewan government says as part of its record $402-million invested into mental health and addictions in the last budget, nearly half a million dollars will be used for ten new treatment beds at the Pine Lodge Treatment Centre in Indian Head.

“This investment will help Pine Lodge reduce wait times, providing people across southern Saskatchewan with better access to inpatient addictions services,” Health Minister Jim Reiter said in a news release on Tuesday. ” This aligns with our government’s commitment to increase mental health and addiction supports across the Province,” he added.

Pine Lodge Treatment Centre is a community-based organization that provides addictions treatment services. Pine Lodge has a total of 33 addictions treatment beds, now that the 10-bed expansion is complete.
