Early this morning, the 1800 block of Victoria Avenue east was blocked off to traffic due to a fatal collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

At around 7 a.m., police responded to the collision and found a 47-year-old man on the roadway.

EMS arrived shortly after and confirmed the man deceased. The name of the man will not be released at this time. Notification is being made to his next of kin.

The eastbound traffic lanes on Victoria Avenue east were blocked off to traffic until 11 a.m. this morning. The road has since reopened.

Police say that no other details are being made available as they are still in the early stages of the investigation.

At this time, it’s unknown what charges, if any, may result.
