Saskatchewan Roughriders kicker Brett Lauther has missed the last two games due to a groin injury. While Lauther is getting better, Head Coach Craig Dickenson isn’t saying whether or not the 28-year-old will be in the lineup on Saturday in B.C.
Dickenson says they are playing it cautious.
“He came out today (Wednesday) and kicked and felt pretty good.” Dickenson told reporters after a closed practice. “All we’re going to do is make him a game-time decision. If he’s not 100 percent, he won’t kick but he is getting better.
If Lauther can’t go, Gabe Ferraro will once again step in.
In the two games Ferraro has played, he has made one of two field goals while going five-for-five in point afters.
The Riders and Lions meet in the back half of a home-and-home Saturday at 5 on 620 CKRM with our pre-game show starting at 2.
